How Is It Made?
LP® TopNotch® Sub-Flooring is made with LP OSB. LP OSB is made by blending rectangular wood strands with thermal-set, waterproof adhesives. The treated strands are arranged in cross-directional layers that are then pressed together under heat and extreme pressure. The result is a rigid, dense engineered panel that is strong and durable. Notches are then cut to create our patented RainChannel™ technology, which allows the installed panels to drain moisture during construction. After that, the panels are machined to create our tongue-and-groove system, which makes installation faster, easier and sledgehammer free. Then our LP TopNotch Sub-Flooring 350 and 450 series panels are surface sanded. Finally, all product series receive a coating of moisture-resistant edge sealant.
