Curt Stevens was appointed chief executive officer and elected to the board of directors of Louisiana-Pacific Corporation based in Nashville, Tennessee in May 2012. Prior to that, he was the executive vice president and chief financial officer of LP for more than 10 years.
Previously, he was a founder and executive vice president / board member of Planar Systems Inc. (NASDAQ: PLNR) and a senior manager at Deloitte & Touche. He is currently a board member of Quanex (NYSE: NX) and the chairman of the Audit Committee. In the past, he also served as an independent member of the board of directors of two other public companies where he also chaired the Audit Committees.
Mr. Stevens is a board member of the Forest Products Association of Canada, a member of the Policy Advisory Board of the Harvard Joint Center for Housing Studies and a board member of the Nashville Chamber of Commerce
He received a B.A. in Economics and a MBA with a concentration in Finance from the University of California, Los Angeles. He is a Certified Public Accountant.
Mrs. Bailey is responsible for financial functions including accounting, financial reporting, treasury and internal audit. Prior to joining LP in December 2011, she served as vice president and chief financial officer of Ferro Corporation from 2007 through 2010 and senior vice president, finance and controller of Timken Company previous to that. Mrs. Bailey is also a director of General Cable Corporation, a Fortune 500 company that designs, manufactures, markets and distributes copper, aluminum and fiber optic wire and cable products and systems. She is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a bachelor of arts in economics and German from Wellesley College and an MBA in accounting and finance from the University of Chicago.
Mr. Olszewski joined LP in 2006 from the Avery Dennison Corporation where he served for 8 years, most recently as vice president of the Fasson Roll Division, North America. He also brings 17 years of marketing, sales and general management experience with Monsanto, including an international assignment in Belgium. Mr. Olszewski holds a Bachelor of Science and Master of Business Administration from the University of Missouri.
Mr. Wagner has spent his entire professional career with LP. In the first part of his career, he worked in forestry, both in land management and procurement roles. In 1996, he launched LP’s first corporate-wide procurement organization. In his most recent role with LP as vice president, forest resources, supply management and logistics, Mr. Wagner managed LP’s fiber and key material streams procurement, logistics and transportation activities, as well as the increasingly complex systems related to overall supply chain management. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Forestry from Humboldt State University.
Mr. Luoma joined LP in 1987 and has headed the engineered wood products business since 2006. In his time with LP, Mr. Luoma has held a variety of positions, including director of forest resources, northern regional operations manager OSB, and more recently he served as vice president of procurement, supply management and logistics. He holds a B.S. in Forestry from Humboldt State University, and has completed the Executive Development Program at the University of Tennessee Center for Executive Education.
Mr. Southern joined LP in 1999. He has led LP’s Siding business since 2005 and was previously vice president of specialty operations. Mr. Southern began his career with MacMillan Bloedel as a forester, where he held a variety of jobs in forestry, strategic planning, finance, accounting and plant management. He has a B.S. in Forest Resource and a M.S. in Forest Resources, both from the University of Georgia.
Mr. Blosser has responsibility for the corporate safety and environmental efforts of LP, as well as procurement and logistics. Mr. Blosser was appointed to his current position in June 2007. He joined the company in 1999 when LP acquired ABTCO, where he had worked for 15 years. Most recently, Mr. Blosser served as manufacturing manager for LP’s Siding business. He holds an MBA from Babcock Graduate School of Management, Wake Forest University, and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University.
Mr. Crowe has been in the forest products industry more than 30 years. He came to LP as manufacturing manager OSB in 1999. Prior to joining LP, Mr. Crowe worked for Champion International for 15 years, J D Irving Ltd. for two years and SAPPI for six years. A graduate of the University of Maine, Mr. Crowe holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering.
Mr. Hartnett joined LP in 1993 and has held a variety of human resources positions over his career with the company, most recently as director, HR operations. He is responsible for all human resources functions and will continue LP’s focus on achieving its vision of being an employer of choice. Mr. Hartnett holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Michigan Technological University and an MBA from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
Mr. Sherman has been with LP since 1994. Most recently, he served as vice president procurement, logistics and supply management and before that, director business development and corporate real estate. Mr. Sherman holds a Bachelor of Science in Waste and Waste Water Management from Humboldt State University in Arcata, California.
Mr. Sims has worked in building products sales and marketing since 1984. Prior to joining LP, he was an area sales manager for Abitibi-Price Corporation, and the director of marketing and vice president sales for ABTco Building Products. Mr. Sims holds a B.A. from Western State in Gunnison, Colorado.
