September 2011 to present

Steve Twining, plant manager at our Two Harbors SmartSide plant, attended the Governor’s Luncheon at the MN Safety Council’s Safety and Health Conference. He accepted the Outstanding Achievement in Safety award for 2010, which is the highest award that the MN Safety Council gives. This is the third year in a row that two Harbors has received the award.
Houlton EWP were awarded one of only 26 2010 OSHA Star Among Stars awards.
Roaring River recognized on June 28 for 36 consecutive years with an incident rate less than half the industry average. Roaring River also earned a Two Million Employee Hour Certificate of Recognition for no time lost due to recordable injury from Feb. ’08 to Nov. ’10.

National Safety Council 2010 Industry Award recognizing top 5% of member companies
Huntsman Advanced Materials 2009 Industry Hygiene Excellence awarded to seven LP plants
North Carolina Gold Award State Department Labor Commissioner to Roaring River siding facility for outstanding work in accident prevention for 35 consecutive years. To qualify for the annual safety award, Roaring River had to maintain an accident incidence rate at least less than half of the industry average with no fatalities during the year
Natural Resources Canada named LP Canada a Canadian Industry Program for Energy Conservation (CIPEC) Leader for the company’s commitment to become more energy efficient, reduce greenhouse gas emissions and reduce pollution
National Safety Council (NSC) Occupational Excellence Achievement Award
